Meeting on Cucurbit Genetics and Breeding

the XIIth Eucarpia Meeting on Cucurbit Genetics and Breeding, was held online from May 24 – 28th, 2021. This scientific event was organized by three institutions, the University of Almería, the Institute for Mediterranean and Subtropical Horticulture “La Mayora” in Málaga, and the Polytechnic University of Valencia.

This meeting is arranged every four years by the Cucurbitaceae working group of EUCARPIA. Although Eucarpia is an organization for plant breeding there is no doubt that breeders need the cooperation, the knowledge and the technics of pathologists, physiologists and biotechnologists to get success in their breeding objectives. The Congress is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the latest research in those fields, but also to promote discussion and exchange of ideas among leading scientists from European and non-European countries all over the world.

Cucurbitaceae 2021 included active discussions and cutting-edge lectures regarding the advances in scientific areas related to Genetics and Breeding of Cucurbit species.
